I know a lot of people love the Infinity and Polk speakers for easy, higher fidelity than stock speaker setup. The kickers on the factory non-Sony setup where decent but I had very little to no bass but pretty decent mid/highs. Makes it super easy to install and although not an apple to apple comparisons, but the Focals are now on a 5-channel amp with a LC1 EQ and it sounds borderline perfect to me.

What is the reason behind getting one of these interface modules vs just. I dont have the nav system or sync installed. I keep reading that I need some kind of fancy interface to hook it up. For what its worth, I went from a factory non-Sony unit to a set of Kicker CS 6.5 components (91db) in the front and Kicker CS 6.5 coaxial in the rears and ended up pulling those out and going with a set of Focal ISS 165 fronts and matching rears because the Focals up front where a 6x9 with a tweeter and the nice compact crossovers built inline with the cables. Still think 2400 for APIM/bezel/screen/plug and play harness is a bit much imo. Stereo/Audio - 2010 aftermarket stereo upgrade - Hi, I have a 2010 F150, looking to put in new double din all in one unit. I need it to fit in the stock opening with maybe a trim kit but I dont want to. Im wanting a unit that has car wireless Apple Car Play(with no tethering/no need for a USB to Lightning cable) and a rear camera. Metra also makes various speaker adapters if you decide to change the size of the speakers in the door. Stereo/Audio - 2005 F150 Stock Radio Upgrade - I have a stock radio in my 2005 F150 that I need to upgrade. There's a nice plug and play harness for our trucks that Metra makes for the door speakers so I'd consider that if you want super easy install there. Ive seen dozens of threads commenting, talking and complaining about the B&O Stereo Systems available on the 2021+ F150s but none that give the information really needed to tackle a complete amplification upgrade of the 18-speaker system. I'm not sure how much juice the Sony factory amp has but I'm assuming it's more than the non-factory unit. If anything, you may want to consider looking for a set of speakers that are 90+db in rating to get more "volume" out of the factory unit/amp. Which option above will produce the best sound? Am I missing any affordable / simple options? I am not an audiophile, just want to get a cleaner sound from the stereo, I do not see adding a processor and amp at a later time. The way I see it I have 3 optionsġ) component speakers, run the door speaker off the existing wiring, wire the tweeter with the crossover with the factory tweeter power as the crossover inputĢ) component speaker, put the crossover in the door for the woofer with the door speaker power as the crossover input and buy a set of base blockers for the tweeterģ) buy a 2 way speaker for the door and disconnect the pillar tweeter I want to replace the factory front speakers but do not want to cut or tap into any wires (cutting the wire to the tweeter in the pillar OK) and with the way wires are run from the body to the door, I do not want to attempt to run a wire from the door to the body.

Once everything is installed I'll do a tutorial thread on how I did everything, as right now information on the 2021's audio system is pretty much non-existent.I put this over in the stereo forum but did not receive any responses. I've used this same setup on multiple F150s as well as a brand new Mustang and it always works great. This is the exact setup that I'm using for my 2021. If the head unit is on and providing power to the line output converter and the speakers are sending a signal to it then it will keep the amp on and therefore the subs working just fine whether or not the engine is running. I use a Scosche line output converter that also provides a remote turn-on signal to the amp based purely on whether or not it's receiving a signal from the speakers. The reason is because of the way that I prefer to install my subs. I had 2 10" subs in my last 2017 and the start/stop never was a problem at all. I have the stock 302a package and would be interested in the "best" replacement speakers to get some better quality audio. If the subs are installed correctly the start/stop isn't an issue. Making it a "requirement" to turn it off every time you get in the truck. Some background about the vehicle: 2020 Ford LT STX 4x4 2.7L Ecoboost Super Crew No WPT-1212 or pre-existing subwoofer. Ive also heard that aftermarket subs will turn off when the engine start/stop kicks in.
